The Call No One Wants

The Lesson: Prevention Beats Panic

I wish I could say this was a rare case, but it isn't. We get calls every month from shops that discover their cooling system the hard way. And in nearly every one of those cases, the problem could have been caught in five minutes with a simple visual check.

  • Check the coolant level and look at it. Color matters. If it's milky, cloudy, or smells unusual, investigate before you start cutting.
